There are around 400 official Gondoliers in Venice.A certain part of the city belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage. One of the top attractions for tourists is the annual festival called the Carnival of Venice.Over 1,5 million people come to Venice every year on ships. Nowadays, the historical parts of the city cannot be approached by large cruise ships over 1000 tons due to damages caused by such traffic on the canals.Two of the most famous people coming from Venice are Marco Polo and Giacomo Casanova.
